GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Scope
1. The furnishing of interlocking air flooring
tile system.
1.02
WORK INCLUDED
A. Work of this Section shall include all labor,
materials, equipment and services necessary to
complete the Air Flooring System flooring installation
as shown on the drawings and specified
herein, including but not limited to the following:
PAVIGYM
Aerobic, Fitness, Tatami or PAVIPLAY flooring
tiles
1.03 RELATED SECTIONS
A. Other Specifications Sections which may directly
relate to the Work of this Section include,
but are not limited to the following:
1. Installation of concrete, bituminous or wood
substrate

QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Provide EVA flooring products manufactured
by a firm with a minimum of 40 years of
experience in the fabrication of EVA products,
and 10 years experience in the manufacturing of
Air Flooring Systems, the Company has a Quality
Assurance System ISO-9002 and Total Quality Management
system EFQM (equivalent to Malcolm Baldrige )
1.05
SUBMITTALS
A. Product Data: For information purposes only,
submit manufacturer’s technical and installation
specifications for the Air Flooring System products.
B. Submit samples of the actual sports surface
in the standard color and manufacturers literature,
as required by Section 01340. Samples shall not
to be used to confirm precise dye shading, as
delivered tiles may be of a different dye lot.
C. Installation Instructions: Submit manufacturer’s
written instructions for recommended
installation.
D Closeout Submittals:
1. Maintenance Instructions: Submit manufacturer’s
written instructions for recommended
maintenance that are included in the Air Flooring
System Installation Manual.
2. Warranty Certificate: Submit manufacturer’s
standard five years warranty document
against defects in manufacturing and workmanship.

DELIVERY, STORAGE & PROTECTION
1.
Warehousing: PaviGym is to be stored in an area
where the temperature does not exceed 100ºF.
There should be no direct sunlight or other heat
sources (such as central heaters etc.).
2. Handling: take away the packaging and take
out the material with care, trying not to scratch
the surface of the tiles. Do not lift or hold
the tiles by the interlock.
3. Checking: check the product, quantity, color
and surface BEFORE installing PaviGym. Slight
color tone differences among tiles are a natural
property of the product.

2.03 ADHESIVES
It
is not necessary to glue down Pavigym, however,
if PAVIGYM is to be applied to walls, please contact
your distributor or the manufacturer for recommendations
on specific types of adhesives.
PART 3.0 - EXECUTION
3.01 INSPECTION
BEFORE INSTALLING PAVIGYM
1.
Even surface: make sure that the sub floor is
leveled with allowable deviation in substrate
of 1/8 inch per radius of 10 feet.
2. Cleaning: the sub floor is to be totally clean
before installing PaviGym on top. All building
work should be finished before PaviGym is installed.
3. Heat sources: locate all heat sources and areas
where there is direct sunlight before installing
PaviGym.
4. Temperature: check the average temperature
in the room in order to install PaviGym in the
best conditions.
Proceed
with the installation only when all unsatisfactory
conditions are corrected.
3.02
INSTALLATION
A. Do not proceed with floor surfacing installation
until all applicable site work, including
substrate preparation, equipment installation
and other relevant work by trades affecting the
installation area, has been completed.
B. Install all products as prescribed in the manufacturer’s
Installation Manual.
3.03
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1.
Use of sport shoes for indoor only. Avoid the
use of black sole shoes, since they may stain
the floor.
2. Procedure for cleaning PaviGym should always
be as follows:
- swipe with broom
- mop with water and small amount of detergent
- for impeccable result, dry the PaviGym Flooring
with cloth
3. In cases of extreme dirt:
- use a cleaner that contains alkaline, diluted
in water.
- Rub to clear away the dust
- Rinse with plenty of water
- Vacuum with a vacuum cleaner for liquids
- For impeccable result, dry with cloth
- Do not dry without clearing away all the water,
otherwise all the dirt will settle back on the
floor.
4. Do not sand, or use metal brushers that may
scratch the surface of the floor
5. Do not start any building or repairs, painting
etc. without adequately protecting the floor.
6. Do not clean with steam vacuum-cleaner
Protection:
Protect the installed surface from damage resulting
from subsequent construction
activity on the site using kraft paper, plastic
sheet or other appropriate means.
